Biography

Born in 1971 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Russia. In 1998 Andrei Fridman moved to Norway.

At the age of 8 he started to study piano with his grandmother Rahil Fridman – a professional pianist. From 1994 to 1997 Andrei was attending the composers' school at Composers' Union of St. Petersburg, he was also taking composition and polyphony lessons from Ariel Davydov and piano lessons from Alla Levit. In addition to the music education, he received his MSc in «Optical instruments and systems» in 1994 and is quite successful in this field.

Andrei Fridman has written music for piano, string and symphonic orchestras, as well as electronic music.
